Arpeggio Abyssinians & Somalis
Someone visiting us once said that when she died and came back as a cat, she wanted to live here. It's TRUE!
Most of here at Arpeggio are "silvers". We have at least one extra gene that takes away undercoat color. We are white under our ticking making us almost sparkle. Mom & Dad have spent lots of time and money devoting the entire program to silvers, they couldn't even get any awards for us until 2003. Sometimes they use traditional colors to get better type. Did you know the first abys into the U.S. in 1906 or 1907 were probably silvers?
We get to watch T.V., Dad likes old movies, Mom makes us watch all kinds of things like game shows, cartoons and wildlife shows. She says it makes us used to different sounds. There's even a full size soccer ball. You should see the kittens the first time they see it. I even saw one get stuck on top of it when it was rolling across the floor - too funny. There is furniture, pictures on the wall and our show ribbons, lots of them are mine. The only cage is the timeout cage. Personally, I have NEVER had to take a time out, but if someone gets cranky and won't be reasonable about it, a timeout helps them.
Outside, the stud boys have their own runs they can go in 24/7. I think that means all of the time. The girls and neutered boys have their own run. In summer, some of the cat trees go outside for us to sleep on. In the winter, the cat trees go under the roof and we have large branches that we can climb on. There are also ledges along the outside walls halfway up that we can walk on.
None of us have caught a hummingbird yet, but there are other little birds and mice that make a mistake and come in through the wire. They don't do that twice. I don't really like the deer that walk by, they're a little too big for me, and the animals that walk by with the masks on are funny looking.
We think our cattery is the best!

I'm "Legacy", RW SGCA Arpeggio The Voice. I'm a Black Silver Abyssinian. Let me show you where I live. I like to spend most of my time in the outdoor run, but if it's a nice day outside, mom lets me go outside with her, but she never leaves me out by myself. She says the sun helps keep me whiter. I get to run as fast as I can and no one gets in my way. I love my mom though, so I never go past the fence, maybe just out to the garden, and I always come when she calls."Mini" got so excited when he went out that he even went through our neighbors cat flap into their house. He doesn't get to go outside anymore.
